August 23rd, 2019: El Paso Bath Riots of 1917

The tragic shooting that took place in El Paso Texas this month was not an isolated incident. It is a tragedy that recalls the racism, xenophobia, and paranoia more than a century ago. On this episode, the LMC speaks with David Dorado Romo about the legacy of the 1917 Bath Riots and how it lends itself to help us understand the racism and xenophobia we see in today’s political landscape.
