June 3rd 2016: History of US Latino Riots

Aaron Fountain, a PhD student in the department of American History at Indiana University-Bloomington, discusses the surprisingly extensive history of urban Latino Riots. He discusses how the “Black=White Binary” of racial injustice makes these moments in history largely forgotten and how they can happen again. Heavy emphasis on various riots in New Jersey, 91 Mt Pleasant Riots in DC, and 92 LA riots.
