2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the Caracazo, one of the most important events in Venezuelan history. While corporate media continues to poorly cover the political crisis in Venezuela; the LMC speaks with Steve Ellner about how the Caracazo serves as a valuable frame of reference today. Steve Ellner is a retired professor at Venezuela’s University of the East. He is currently the associate managing editor for Latin American Perspectives.
