Do you know where your beer comes from? Only two transnational beer companies own 98% of the Mexican beer market that goes to the US. All the while, these companies are robbing local Mexican communities from access to clean water. Freelance journalist Tamara Pearson speaks with the LMC about how transnational beer companies are literally leaving people high and dry with no water.
Before last year’s hurricane season struck Puerto Rico, the first US territory to be hit hard was the US Virgin Islands. As the controversy over the failed US response to give relief to Puerto Rico continues to unfold, almost no coverage has been given to the 100,000+ Americans in the USVI.
