On a special episode, the LMC welcomes filmmaker Johanne Gómez Terrero and Dr. Reinaldo B. Spech on the new film “Sugar Island” and the struggle for Afro-descendent identity and citizenship in the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Reinaldo Speck is also the co-director of the Afro Diaspora Film Festival.
